Refund Policy

New paid subscribers can request a full refund within 14 days of their first payment, no questions asked.

1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you subscribe to a Professional or Enterprise plan for the first time and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your initial payment date.

To claim your guarantee:

  • Contact us at support@amlshieldpro.com within 14 days of your payment
  • Include the email address associated with your account
  • No reason required — we'll process your refund promptly

Refunds are returned to the original payment method (via Stripe) and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

2. Cancellations

How to cancel: You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page in your account dashboard. Cancellation is immediate and there are no cancellation fees.

What happens after cancellation: Your subscription remains active until the end of your current paid billing period. You will not be charged again. After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Starter (free) plan.

Data retention: Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation to allow export. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

3. Renewals & Billing Cycles

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected). You will receive a receipt by email for each renewal.

Annual plans: Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for the full 12-month period. The 14-day refund guarantee applies to the initial payment only. Partial refunds for unused months on annual plans are not available outside the 14-day window, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

Renewal reminders: For annual plans, we will send a renewal reminder 14 days before your subscription renews.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally not available in the following circumstances (except where required by Australian Consumer Law):

  • Requests made after the 14-day guarantee window has expired
  • Renewals of existing subscriptions (i.e., second or subsequent billing periods)
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms of Service
  • Partial months or unused scan credits
  • Add-on services or one-time fees where separately agreed

5. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).

Under the ACL, you may be entitled to a remedy (refund, repair, or replacement) if a service:

  • Has a major failure
  • Is not of acceptable quality
  • Does not match its description
  • Is not fit for purpose

If you believe you are entitled to a remedy under the ACL, please contact us at support@amlshieldpro.com. We will assess your claim and respond within 5 business days.
