Essential cookies only

Sentinel FinCrime uses only the minimum cookies required for the platform to function. We do not use advertising, tracking, analytics, or social media cookies of any kind.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, remember preferences, and — in some cases — track user behaviour for analytics or advertising purposes.

Sentinel FinCrime takes a minimal approach to cookies. We use only the cookies that are strictly necessary for the platform to operate. We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics.

2. Cookies We Use

We use only the following essential cookies, which are set by Supabase to manage your authenticated session:

Cookie NamePurposeDurationType
sb-access-tokenStores your session access token to keep you logged in to your account1 hour (auto-refreshed)Essential
sb-refresh-tokenStores a refresh token used to obtain a new access token when the current one expires, so you remain logged in without re-entering your passwordUp to 60 daysEssential

These cookies are set by Supabase, Inc., our authentication and database provider. They are necessary for the secure operation of your account. The platform cannot function without them when you are logged in.

3. Cookies We Do NOT Use

We want to be fully transparent about what we do not use. Sentinel FinCrime does not deploy:

  • Advertising or targeting cookies: We have no advertising relationships and do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or target you with ads
  • Analytics cookies: We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, or any similar third-party analytics service that tracks your behaviour
  • Social media cookies: We have no Facebook Pixel, Twitter/X tracking tags, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar social media trackers
  • Cross-site tracking cookies: We do not participate in cross-site behavioural tracking or interest-based advertising networks
  • Performance profiling cookies: We do not use session recording tools, heatmap tools, or similar performance monitoring services that capture your individual interactions

4. Third-Party Cookies

In addition to the Supabase session cookies described above, two third-party services may set cookies in limited contexts:

Supabase (Supabase, Inc.)

Sets the authentication session cookies described in Section 2. These are the only Supabase cookies placed on your device. Supabase's privacy practices are described at supabase.com/privacy.

Stripe (Stripe, Inc.)

If you access the payment or billing section of the platform, Stripe may set cookies within their secure payment iframe for fraud prevention and security purposes. These cookies are confined to the Stripe iframe and are governed by Stripe's own Cookie Policy at stripe.com/cookie-settings. We do not control these cookies.

No other third-party services set cookies through Sentinel FinCrime.

5. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, the platform may store small amounts of data in your browser's local storage. This is used for functional purposes only, such as remembering whether you have loaded demo data in the current session, or storing UI preferences (for example, which panel is expanded). This data:

  • Does not contain any transaction data or personal information belonging to your clients
  • Is not transmitted to our servers
  • Can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data

6. How to Manage Cookies

You can control and delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. The steps vary by browser:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

Please note that if you delete or block the Supabase session cookies (sb-access-token and sb-refresh-token), you will be logged out of your account and will need to log in again. Blocking essential cookies may also cause the platform to malfunction.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we change the cookies or similar technologies used on the platform. Any significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and we will notify registered users by email of material changes. The current version of this policy will always be available at sentinelfincrime.com/cookies.
